I Can't Believe It's Not Barbra

As anyone who knows me knows, I am a huge Streisand fan. But unlike some of Babs' other fans, I am not above laughing at her expense (as long as it isn't mean spirited). There are (of course) a plethora of Streisand impersonators in the world, some better than others. One of the most famous is Steve Brinberg who has toured both America and the U.K. with his act; even performing with real-life Barbra's right hand man, Marvin Hamlisch. But I have discovered a phony Babra that I think surpasses even Mr. Brinberg. Barbra by Halstead is simply.... hysterical. Not a "serious" impersonation, Halstead takes the Queen Bee and does a parody that is over-the-top enough to actually make you think you're watching the Babs herself. I discovered his videos on YouTube.com and have become an obsessive fan. Whether she is in the studio recording her never to be released "Children's Album", or just sitting at home calling Proctor and Gambles about her box of Spic-and-Span, I can't get enough.

Apparently he began his "Barbra" as a Los Angeles public access television show and it has grown from there. One thing however, if you're not a Streisand fan then you may not see why these videos would be humorous. But for those die hards- I guarantee you'll laugh your ass off. Especially when ever he/she laughs... you'll swear you're hearing Her.
