Summer Stock, pt. 2

Well, I have now officially signed my contract for the summer with the Theater Barn, a small summer stock theatre in New Lebanon, New York. I've been offered parts in two of their musicals: Violet and Johnny Guitar, neither of which I am familiar with. What I do know is... Violet was written by Jeanine Tesori (who wrote Thoroughly Modern Millie) and Brian Crawley (who I have yet to find out about) and is about a deformed girl who travels cross country to be healed by a televangelist. Johnny Guitar is based on an old Joan Crawford movie and is a spoof and send up to old movie musicals. I have yet to see either of the scripts so I don't know how big or small my parts are. But at the moment I don't care because it is five weeks of work. I was beginning to doubt that I would have anything this summer.... thank God for the Theatre Barn!
