Why, oh why am I so susceptible to colds?

For some reason if I come within forty-five feet of someone with a cold, I almost immediately come down with one. A cold has slowly been making it's way down "The Chorus Line" and it has finally caught up with me.
This morning, I woke up with swollen glands and an inability to swallow. Unfortunately I had an audition at one o'clock. Isn't it always the way? I was hoping to blow them out of the water and get hired for the summer to play "Will Parker" in Oklahoma!; but that didn't seem to be in the cards. My singing was less than par (couldn't even hit a full E) and then at the dance call I could barely breathe... they must have thought I was a ten pack-a-day smoker. Ah, well... there's another job prospect down the drain.
One thing.... when the cold hit Rebecca (who plays "Connie" in ACL) it turned into laryngitis and she was out of commission for almost a week... I'm praying to a proverbial god that this doesn't run the same course with me. I've been chugging OJ, sucking Cold-eaze and wolfing down garlic like there's no tomorrow; all in the hopes of ridding myself of this as soon as possible.... I don't know if it's working but my cat won't even come near me for the smell.
FYI.... the above picture is an illustration of the common cold. Kind of pretty, don't you think?
